Prescott College CSA Store

We’re proud to announce the recent opening of our CSA Store at Prescott College! Located inside the Prescott College Bookstore & CSA at 371 Garden St., the CSA Store provides a rotating selection of locally-grown fresh produce, free-range and organic eggs, raw honey, and hand-made jam and  pasta — all produced within 100 miles of Prescott! In addition, we offer bags of direct-trade coffee from Cafe de Dona Ella, free-range chicken from Ridgeview Farms, and grass-fed beef from Orme Ranch.

The store is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and you don’t have to be a member to shop!

    • Thanks for the question! This season’s (January 2 through May 9) share was $475, and we’re still accepting new members. Of course, the price is pro-rated to accurately reflect the remaining weeks of the season. For instance, if you were to start next week, the total is $350. Please let me know if you’re interested, and I can email you a contract!

    • Hi Leah,

Sorry, partial shares are available only to Prescott College students. But many folks from the community find a friend or a neighbor to split a share with, decreasing both the share quantity and cost. I leave it up to members to find their own share partners, so you can organize it however you want: take turns picking up, splitting the share based on what each person is interested in, or even splitting each item in half.

The full share averages to $25/week, and our current season goes through May 8. We have a distribution this week, then take 2 weeks off for the holidays. So, if you were to start with us on January 9, your total would be $450 (18 weeks, $25/wk). You would receive 8 items each week. If you email me at pccsa@prescott, I can email you back a contract.

Another option is that anyone – members or not – is welcome to just come into the CSA Store (M-F 8am-5pm) and do some shopping! You’ll find different items each week, depending on what our CSA shares consisted of that week. We restock on Wednesday, so Wed and Thurs are usually the best days to come in.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

  1. Erin, thank you for the reply. When you say that each week you will receive 8 items, what does this mean? i.e 8 single items – 4 apples and 4 oranges? Or multiples of 8 different fruit and vegetables?
