Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much produce can I expect in a week?

The produce quantity and variety changes with the seasons, but the partial share includes 4 items and the full share includes 8. The partial share is geared toward an individual, while the full is usually better suited for a small family or household, depending on one’s eating preferences and habits.

Q. I’m interested in the beef option. How does it work?

The beef option averages 17 lbs. of free-range meat from a conscientious rancher near Dewey, AZ. It comes all at once, precut, labeled and frozen, once in the fall and once in the spring.

Q. I’m ready to become a shareholder. What do I do now?

Please contact to receive a contract via email.

Q. What are the dates for the share seasons?

We offer a customizable school-year share for the Prescott College community (late August through early May), and a Winter Share (November through mid-May) for the general public.

Q. What happens to my food if I forget to pick it up on Wednesday?

Please call on or before Wednesday and your share will be bagged for you with your name, and you can pick it up the next day at the Bookstore. This is the best way to ensure your food will be saved for you. If we don’t hear from you, your share will be donated to a community service group or the college café.

Q. What if I can’t pay the entire amount up front?

That is not a problem, we have different payment options available. It is our goal to provide for everyone’s budget.

Q. What if I will be gone some weeks during the season?

You can decide what happens to your share. Many people have friends pick it up and enjoy the bounty while you are out of town, or you could donate it. We will see that it goes to a community service group that provides meals to those in need.

Q. When and where do I pick up my food?

The CSA pick-up is every Wednesday from 12:30–6pm in the CSA Store, located in the Prescott College Bookstore & More at 371 Garden Ave.
